In this episode I discuss the subjects of life and death with author Prof Dean Rickles in his book Life is short, which is a companion / response to the famous stoic philosopher Seneca's book, On the shortness of life, written 2000 years ago. Dean Rickles is professor of history and philosophy of modern physics at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he is also a director of the Sydney Centre for Time. His many books include Covered with Deep Mist: The Development of Quantum Gravity and A Brief History of String Theory
