Indian scientist in atmospheric sciences. He is a professor at IIT
Kanpur and has won India's top science award, the Shanti Swarup
Bhatnagar Prize, for his work. He is an elected fellow of the country's
major science academies and holds the prestigious J.C. Bose Fellowship.
