In this week’s episode, I was joined by competitive powerlifter, martial artist and the Assistant Head Coach at Kabuki Strength, Kyle Young. With experience of competing in two sports that are at opposite ends of the spectrum, and traditionally conflicting training styles, it was interesting to speak to Kyle about the lessons he has learnt from both powerlifting and combat sports. Therefore, in this episode, we chatted about how they can complement one another and clash, as well as how competing in both has impacted Kyles’s coaching and philosophy on training.
