This is a must listen for parents of teens, teens themselves and anyone who experienced anxiety when they were a teenager. I am joined by psychologist Dr Aoife Durcan (@HighlySensitivePsychologist) as she helps me better understand the teenage brain, our window of tolerance, how it might be for a more sensitive child growing into their teenage years, how parents can support their teenager who is struggling with anxiety, how and why anxiety is presenting during the teenage years and how best to approach it. There is a lot to absorb here and it is highly informative as well as relatable and encouraging. I share my own experience of anxiety as a teen which was very challenging, given how little we knew about it then and how much the stigma was still around.
