I have the pleasure of getting to chat with Ed Streit about how he develops basketball players. After a quick run down of how Ed got out to LA, he starts out sharing what his red shirt program was like in UD, and what were the guidelines and goals for the players. He then discusses his role in the NBA, how his past experience helped with the transition, and some things that have really helped him with the players to get the buy in to training. We then run down the rabbit hole of the misnomers of developing basketball players. He then shares with us how the relationship with the players “guy” has evolved and how they work with these people to make sure the guys are in the best place possible.
