Breakfast Bites: Have you jumped on a social media trend? Want to know why we do it?

If you are on social media (who isn’t?), you’d see all sorts of trends that people jump on. The viral cookie challenge with their kids, the ice bucket challenge for ALS back in the day,  Wes Anderson style videos… it always seems to happen overnight, and before you know it, your feed is flooded.

Why do we do it? What is it about these social media trends that makes us jump in and copy them? Psychologists weigh in, and it’s time to find out why.
