Craig Lazzara, CFA, is a Managing Director in the Core Product Management group at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). His responsibilities focus on providing thought leadership and educational outreach. Our discussion focuses on two S&P DJI reports. SPIVA research measures actively managed funds against their relevant index benchmarks worldwide, and the Persistence Scorecard focuses on whether manager outperformance should be attributed to luck or skill. Craig holds a Chartered Financial Analyst charter and is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
