Gaza faces health crisis amid conflict

The ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel has had a devastating impact on Gaza's health facilities and infrastructure. UN agencies report that 84% of health facilities have been affected by the war, and over 70% of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed or severely damaged. The destruction of infrastructure, including hospitals losing power, has led to the death of patients. Additionally, malnutrition among children and pregnant/breastfeeding women is a significant concern, with 325,000 children under the age of five at risk of acute malnutrition in the coming days and weeks.
