Yang Chufu's Impressive Appearance and Words

During a diplomatic mission to the state of Chu, Jin's minister Yang Chufu stayed at an inn owned by Ying. Impressed by Yang's appearance, way with words, and achievements, innkeeper Ying decided to join Yang's retinue. However, after observing Yang's repeated self-boasting, ill treatment of others, and inflated ego, Ying realized that Yang was nothing more than a showman, lacking substance and true virtue. Disappointed, Ying returned home, realizing that Yang was like a branch that blossoms but bears no fruit.
