MY EXPERT OPINION EP #31: FAKEFREE KP & "WAAH" DEAN - THE NEXT GENERATION OF RUFF RYDERS + MORE

in this full episode of brand new My Expert Opinion EP #31, Ruff Ryders co-founder “Waah” Dean and rising Philly artist Fakefree KP sit down with Math Hoffa, Dutchie Man & Uncle Seth for an unfiltered look inside one of hip-hop’s most legendary labels. Waah Dean pulls back the curtain on the real history of Ruff Ryders’ notorious battle rap culture, breaking down the untold story of the Jay-Z vs. Original Flavor battle on 168th and Webster, Cassidy’s overnight war with Lotto from North Philly, and the brutal, no-filming “pit” sessions at Power House Studios where artists literally had to fight their way up through the building before they could even rap. He also opens up about passing the torch to the next generation, revealing the full story of how Mysonne connected him to KP at a Bars on I-95 brunch and how fate lined everything up perfectly. KP gets just as raw, walking through how his viral “Mindset Before the Murder” video exploded to 19 million views with zero budget and became the foundation of his entire career, and getting emotional about losing six close friends back-to-back, carrying his uncle’s body, and battling depression and suicidal thoughts before signing his Ruff Ryders deal. The two also dig into KP’s claim as one of Philly’s best storytellers, the shift in New York’s sound and hip-hop culture, the difference between going viral and making timeless music, and what it really means to carry the Ruff Ryders legacy forward with the same grit the label was built on. #MathHoffa #MyExpertOpinion #FakefreeKP #RuffRyders #WaahDean #HipHopHistory #BattleRap #PhillyHipHop #HipHopPodcast #DMX **THE VIEWS, OPINION, AND COMMENTS EXPRESSED ON "MY EXPERT OPINION SHOW" BY ANY GUEST BEING INTERVIEWED ARE THOSE OF THE GUEST AND DO NOT REFLECT OR REPRESENT THE VIEWS AND OPINIONS HELD BY MATH HOFFA OR ANY CO-HOST ON "MY EXPERT OPINION SHOW"** BECOME A MEMBER FOR EARLY ACCESS TO MY EXPERT OPINION EPISODES AND NEW SHOWS ON THE WAY!!! https://bit.ly/JOINMATHHOFFATV - →DONATE TO $HOFFAGANG ON CASH APP← https://cash.app/app/GXTMJQT →LISTEN TO MEO ON THE GO← Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/myexpertopinion Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/my-expert-opinion/id1582681568 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0sTMXsGbha6qYXr1J8Aq1h →FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA← TWITTER: https://twitter.com/mathhoffa INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/Math.Hoffa/ FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/Math-Hoffa-103361215768/ -QUARANTINE PRODUCTIONS #MathHoffa
