As a hard money lender there are multiple hats needed to operate. Although the goal is to eventually have staff, partners, outsourced help and automation in place we have always found it important to understand all aspects of the business. Private lending is unique where its a business that customers (borrowers) are always knocking on your door to get money (loans) BUT you also have to be smart and conservative to only lend on projects that will perform and repay.
