The Song of the Child That Wants to Be Born
In africa, before a woman lets herself get pregnant, she'll go seeit out under a tree and wait quietly until she hears the song of the child that wants to be born. And then after she gets pregnant, she teaches it to the villagers around,. so that when the baby is born, the midwife and those who are gathered, the women gathered around, sing the song of this baby to it. Then that song is sung through the rights of passage, through the barmitzpa, or whatever that child goes through in that culture. When both people's songs are sung, to the end of life, and those gather around tha person their last day and sing
