If we're not going to become proxy apologists, how on earth do we still pass watchful dragons in the work of poetry or in any creative endeavor? That's an exceptionally good question. And yet it's one that we really have to answer. Liz Hyde talks in his work about the idea of creative work operating in two economies. One is a market economy and one is a gift economy. He says creativity can survive without one of those markets but not without the other.
