I'm the Saviour, I Bear the Sins of the World

Jesus knew that according to the biblical motif, thorns stood for sin. And so I think that without even opening his mouth, but simply by wearing the crown, what he's communicating to all standing by is, I'm the sin bearer. So there is a kind of exchange here, but Jesus is that vicarious victim who in our stead takes the curse that is according to our punishment.
