Programming Languages Are Just Like Anything Else

At some point you have to say, this language can't get net better by adding more features. And if you really want those features, like, maybe you should look to a different language. But yet, t to your point, i don't know how to prevent that from happening. I mean, it's not as if the exact circumstances that were true when you first did one point o are going to be still true 15 nd, 20 years later.
