The Techno Pessimists Outnumber the Optimists

iReporter: The divide between the optimist and the pessimist seems to have a psychological component as well as a philosophical componentd. iReporter: I want to argue the optimist position on each of those four issues. Will come back to some of the techno pessimists concerns a little bit later, but first issue is that when we're in the midst of a technological revolution, we're not attentive to the jobs that are being created. He says it's very difficult for most of us to project the jobs that will be created in the short run and the long run. But there's another set of anecdotes here involving a singer who invented a new sewing machine - yorker
