Introduction

This episode is a joint project with Dr. Victoria Brazel, who's the co-producer of Simulcast,. She describes her main interests as connecting education with patient care through translational simulation for healthcare and in developing high-performing teams. The impetus for this particular discussion was a paper Vic recently co-authored called Exploring Participant Experience to Optimize the Design and Delivery of Stress Exposure Simulation in Emergency Medicine. We also talk about things like adaptive expertise, the books, teams that work, and even the application of mental rehearsal principles from martial arts among other things.
