This is Writing Excuses episode 27, World Building Religion. We want to do a series of podcasts where we dig deeper into world building aspects. How do you not let your religious bias destroy your books? That's an interesting way of phrasing it. My rule is for science fiction, I will never come out and say whether or not there actually is a God or an afterlife ... I leave it up to the characters. Some of them believe one thing; others believe another.
