Introduction
This week we're talking about the war in Ukraine. The Russian winter offensive appears to have peated out without much to show for it. A dozen or so Ukrainian brigades are waiting for the order to push east, most of whom are now equipped and trained by the West. China is offering to actors a peacebroke in Ukraine. Late last month for the first time, Chinese President Xi Jinping called Vladimir Zelensky the Ukrainian President to discuss what was happening with the war.
