The alternative to psychiatry is to build healthy, loving communities. Therapies your way into having community community is a human needCommunity friendship, family belonging. These are all things that you can't just like do the do the work inside yourself and magically have them. That's not something that I can get in a self help book, but it is something that I could get from other people.
