In 1952, England was absolutely the world's ruling power in the sport of soccer. They scheduled a match with Hungary and everyone thought that it was going to be an absolute trouncing. Nobody thought these Hungarians had a chance at all. This team went on to be one of the greatest soccer teams in history. For five years, they were this indestructible force. And then, all of a sudden, the revolution in Hungary turned ugly. The Russian tanks poured in. A lot of the players who were on that team left Hungary. And the spell was broken.
