The Labour Party Is the Status Party
I have to say, as a former civil servant, it's not a homogenous mass. There are a lot of departments that need radical reform. I think ultimately the Labour Party is the status party in the best way imaginable. It likes a strong, muscular state that does stuff. And this government has ceased treating it as a workforce. They think they can somehow deliver all these nonsense when the people who are meant to deliver it hate their guts.
