In agriculture all the native trees have been removed, every single one. The grass lands have been changed from native species to monocultures of exotic species. What you need to do start bringing back portions of the system, particularly in the plants. Once you start building up the plant base, then other things start to come back on their own accord. So that sounds like kind ofa bottom up approach in the sense of trophic cascades.
