Finding Strength in Scripture
As a kid, I spent most of my time in foster homes, and so this is thankfully before the internet, before all these video games. And I lost myself in the stories of the Bible, Old Testament. But what they really came into importance was when I became an adult. After meeting my mom, I joined a church that just happened to be an interracial church. When I'm trying to reconcile these white members of my family who had problems admitting racism... scriptures became our common meeting ground.
