I don't think anyone goes through life without a couple of scars. What we suppress and see is minor, or we may dismiss as being no big deal. But those events can actually be highly influential. We all have different sensitivities, we all have different temperaments. And the content of the experience is not something that we should judge against other people's experiences. I think everyone's experiences are valid. It doesn't really matter what kind of severity level you think it was.
