The Banya Model of Hinduism
I was particularly struck by how even though the Gita Press and Kalyan you'd put it in the philanthropic box of the Marwari's, you're not doing this for profit. This doesn't mean Thandoh. Nevertheless, you described that the model of Hinduism they sell is almost a Banya model in your words. And as a project gets underway, you write about how gradually the early issues of Kalyan are sort of a testing down for what become leithmothives and dominant themes later. We'll discuss as we go along.
