The Virtues of Characteristics
Temperaments are not virtues. That's not like there's the four cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance,. And then sanguine or like the theological virtues of faith, hope, and love and color. You can have saintly melancholy and you can have a saintly choleric or a saintly phlegmatic or even a saintly sanguine. But in the end, we're called to do the good and pursue the good and move away from what is evil and vicious in our life.
