The typical approach to mindfulness is that it has a quality of neutrality, right? People say sit in meditation, when a thought comes up, just let it go. Keep coming back to the present moment. A lot of people have a hard time doing that. So we're putting a little bit of English on this practice where we're encouraging you to start by focusing on something you appreciate or value. As a result, you're going to have an experience that's rather enjoyable. It feels pretty wonderful when you do this, which is motivation for people to do it.
