Xi Jinping's Pledge to Be Carbon Neutral by 2060 Makes No Sense
The meeting was about 35 minutes long, of which after pleasantries and Xi Jinping did most of the talking. You wonder if Blinken got five to nine minutes of actual US dialogue to Xi and the others in the room. The headline is she's there in part to try to get them to recommit to a climate pledge. That doesn't even seem like that should be on the agenda. And by the way, Xi Jinping has said that he will be carbon neutral by the year 2060.
