What's the Difference Between Web3 and Crowdfunding?

I think a very valid criticism of web3 is that it's incredibly financialized. It does kind of make me wonder if web3 is accidentally creating the same incentive mechanisms around maximizing shareholder value, which don't take into account all of these pieces. So far, like most of the projects that have been funded on mirror are not explicitly profit maximizing. And in fact, I think most of them do not even make any mention or promise of flowing profits back to people who funded those projects.
