Seeds Survived World War II

At least a dozen scientists at the vovilov institute of plant industry starved to death during the siege. They could have survived on that collection of seeds, but instead, the seeds survived. In many cases, they were the only examples of their particular variety. We still use those seeds decades after world war too. When blight comes or the climate changes, we turn to seed banks. Every seed contains a possibility of life yet to come. And when given the choice between themselves to day, or every one to morrow, the seed bank workers of lenen grad chose us. Let us remember their example.
