The process of mass formation, which became increasingly strong throughout the nineteenth century and throughout the twentieth century, is very important. The larger the population, the worse er r the process. Mass formation arises around an object of anxiety, and that object always has to be destroyed. And so if the population is too small, the mass formation will take less long than a large population. A totaritarian state was only successful, or emerged, only in countries with aer very large population, such asthe soviet union.
