Is Spraying on Sunscreen a Bad Idea?
Elizabeth Gilbert: Spray sunscreen should be totally banned because you're right. If you get downwind of it, you're inhaling it and the people who are using it, the whole family is inhaling it. And I imagine this would be especially dangerous for the little ones. They really don't have the immunity that we've built up. Their brains are still developing until the age of 25. We're harming their brains with the sunscreens, all the chemicals that are in all the products now in our clothing and in our foods.We're harming ourselves on a mass level. The zinc oxide kills the final plankton in the ocean. That's the bottom of the food chain.
