The Spark That Started Machine Learning in AI

I think there was some element of pragmatism where it was, you know, I needed to pick up a skill that would be useful and that would be employable. And then the second part of it of course is the ability to be able to build things by writing a few lines of code on a computer which could impact and change people's lives or do things a little differently. So when they put out this call for people to take a battery of tests to see if they could be part of that cohort, I thought why not me? That dream from 30 years ago is now a reality and it's great to come full circle and be a part of it.
