The Neurobiology of Mental Functions

We're not going to either has a broken working memory system or a functioning working memory system. We think that this approach will number one, allow us to understand the neurobiology of mental functions in a richer way and in a more precise way. The hope is that we can map those dimensional characterizations of mental function on to mental illness so that we can learn something about how working memory function is diminished in individuals with major depressive disorder or schizophrenia.
