The Battle of Gettysburg

I visited the battleground on several occasions soon after the conflict with evidence of the hard carnage. There were attempts to write about that and make it nice or ironic in a poetry workshop way like this one. The dead lie everywhere and though not half a day has passed since they died, that's the wrong point. I was like, oh that's lovely to stench. It really is a lot in common between goth culture and Victorian culture except they really meant it.
