The Impositions of Motherhood
When a woman becomes a mother, she loses part of her citizenship because she can't fully participate in society as a full citizen. She has duties to family and child that fall under the umbrella of mother. And this is a unique imposition by nature, as it turns out, upon women. It politically removes some of their enfranchisement in the society.
