The Effects of Training Status on Muscle Growth

Training status is going to mean that fewer muscle fibers are actually going to be responsive in those more advanced lifters. If we're doing an exercise, multi-joint exercise, and one of the prime movers or synergists isn't quite getting to that high level of activation, then it's not going to be treated as a stimulating repetition for the purpose of that muscle group. Different people are going to perform the bench press with different contributions or relative contributions from the three major prime moers.
