The Politicization of Evangelism
There was an era, even in the 20th century, where you could call yourself an evangelical and there was kind of space for social, cultural, political differences. That truly evangelistic ethos is still there, but it's also been very much crowded by the politicization of evangelicalism. So I experienced a lot of that whitewashed discipleship. But one of the crucial things for young Black college students, young Black Christian college students is I really enjoy going to preach and speak at Black student ministries.
