The Importance of College Essays
College essays are an important part of the process for applying to colleges and universities in the US. The essay has always been one of many components in the application writing process, but it has become a more important component. "If it's well written, well done, it can have a positive impact on your acceptance at a particular school," says Professor Michael Bociurkiw. But low GPAs or very low standardized test scores cannot make up for weak teacher recommendations.
