How to Celebrate Differences
Having diversity within your friend groups is the best way to honor differences and challenge stereotypes. My son's school does a great activity of having every child find a paint color that sort of best matches their skin tone and then painting a portrait with that. I think it's really a great start, especially for early childhood to think about how we can not make this a silent shame, but actually something to celebrate.
