Gene Seymour: I was kind of agreed with Gene on television. He always thought he was a little sharper, a little more persuasive,. maybe a little better of a reviewer. But then in college and got both newspapers and could read them side by side, reading the movie reviews eager to see there was a movie in my future that was going to be part of my weekend...I discovered that I liked Roger's writing better. They eventually became sort of like brothers who can't stop fighting with each other but who are inextricably linked. And they would protect each other against the outside world.
