The Importance of Being Freelance
I feel like it's much more important to try and do two or three excellent pieces of work a year than loads of average stuff that you get paid averagely for. I would have taken a job at any stage in the last 12 years, I reckon. The magazine stuff pretty much pays for its, yeah, it's, no, I live off that now. And my sort of next sort of step is to try and have a book going in the background. That's my next transition but I'm always late with deadlines. So whenever I do it, I seem to end up writing on the magazine story.
