The Pros and Cons of Mining in the CCZ

The CCZ is a region of the Pacific Ocean that was first discovered in 1950. There's an estimated 21 billion tons of nodules which form on or near the seabed. They're chopped full of nickel, cobalt, copper, titanium and all sorts of rare earth elements. The argument here is that we need these resources to make the transition to a carbon neutral economy.
