Are Robot Weapons a Good Idea?

Do we really want to have bombs and machine guns out in the world, making their own decisions about who they're going to kill? I don't think so, because i don't think any current machines are capable of operating with the kind of ethical reasoning that comes naturally to human beings. A big part of ethics is not just abstract principles - it's a matter of carrying. So i think emotions an carrying are a huge part of the development of ethics. These decisions should be made by human beings who've got the capacity for ethical reasoning based on actually caring for other people.
