Crypto and Commodity Markets Aren't Observing Standards
The reason trading venues and crypto aren't observing standards that we've developed over the years is because they're not registered as securities exchanges. They're trading commodities but then there's no federal regulator of the spot market for commodities. So a lot of people in the crypto industry have avoided regulation. No one would ever think that the CFTC should regulate the buying and selling of cows.
