The Mess of Narcissus and Echo Ore the Famous Mismatched
Roxanne Jones says she was inspired by the myth of narcissus and social media. The poem is about a woman who takes her time making a self-portrait in front of an audience. She thinks it's perfect for how we see ourselves as products that are being sold back to us. "I don't think that everything, the impulse is necessarily negative," writes Jones.
