The Importance of Oxalates

Oxalates are compounds that are made by plants. They're the plants to fence mechanism in a way. Certain foods like spinach and kale, a lot of dark leafy greens are higher in oxalate plant foods. There's nothing wrong with oxalates. Some genes could predispose certainly. But oftentimes it's other factors that are causing the overzealous immune response to the higher oxalated plant foods.
