The last time the Muslim country invaded the West, you have to go back at least 400 years to the gates of the enemy. I think Huntington's usually seen as a hawkish figure, someone who's certainly not pro-Muslim but he hits on a profound truth here. He argues that we shouldn't be trying to convey democracy and liberalism to the rest of the world. We need to recognize that there are eight or nine civilizational entities.
