Prayer Is Not a Cliche

Asking for help is an admission that we are not adequate for the task at hand. Eugene peterson has so much good to say on this, i'm just going to quote him twice. Paul says, pray also for me. He later says, asking for prayer keeps us all on the same level. When we ask for prayer, we are we are companions in the pilgrimageof of the pilgrim life of church. I know it can seem self serving for me as a pastor to say, pray for leaders in the church, but the truth is we actually really need your prayers. Like we can't do what we do without your prayers.
